Welcome to the New York Diaconate Formation Website!
The aspirants and candidates in the Diaconate Formation Program begin their transformation through prayer, study, and service to the People of God in the Archdiocese. The four-year process of formation provides an integrated development of the human, spiritual, intellectual, pastoral, and diaconal dimensions of their calling. In the Aspirant and Candidate Handbooks, you will discover how an aspirant or candidate prepares himself for the sacred Order of Deacon.
We pray that you find on this website answers to questions that you may have but were not sure where to go for an answer. We have developed this website after many hours of discussions about content and format. We are proud to say that we now have an informative, comprehensive and current website. We wish you God’s blessings on your journey to discover your calling.
